EXAM FEVER
A tightness in the chest, a drumming in the head,
Exam fever strikes, a monster from its bed.
Books piled high, a mountain yet to climb,
Dates and formulas swirling through time.
Sleep shrinks to slivers, meals a hurried bite,
The world outside fades, lost in flickering light.
Pencils dance a frantic, nervous jig,
Each question a hurdle, a mental tug-of-war rig.
Doubt whispers shadows, a chilling, creeping dread,
"Will I remember? All those sleepless nights, unsaid?"
The clock on the wall, a relentless, ticking foe,
Each tick a hammer blow, a quickening of the flow
Of anxious thoughts, a jumbled, swirling mess,
Will knowledge hold, or crumble under stress?
But deep within, a voice begins to rise,
A quiet strength in focused, knowing eyes.
For preparation whispers, a calming, steady hand,
"You've faced this challenge, conquered shifting sand."
Take a breath, slow down, let knowledge take its hold,
This test you've faced before, a story yet untold.
So fight the fever, push the doubt away,
Trust in what you've learned, let confidence hold sway.
For exams may test, but they cannot define,
The strength within you, the will that's truly thine.
